This Delivery Policy explains how our delivery‑only service works and what customers can expect when booking a delivery with Brecon Take Aways Limited (“we”, “us”, “our”).
By booking a delivery through our website, you agree to this policy.
Nothing in this Delivery Policy affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
1. Delivery‑Only Service
We provide delivery services only.
You must place your food order directly with the takeaway restaurant of your choice.
We do not:
Prepare food
Take food orders
Control restaurant menus or prices
Influence preparation times
We simply collect your food and deliver it to your address.
2. Booking a Delivery
By booking a delivery, you authorise us to collect perishable goods on your behalf, which cannot be returned or resold.
To book a delivery:
Place your food order with the takeaway.
Visit our website.
Enter the correct delivery postcode for your address.
Choose your booking type:
Delivery Only (you’ve already paid the takeaway)
Payment on Delivery (you pay the driver on arrival)
Complete your booking.
Once a booking is placed, it cannot be cancelled.
3. Delivery Postcode
You must select the correct delivery postcode for your location.
If the wrong postcode is selected:
Your delivery may be delayed
You must pay the difference before delivery continues
If you refuse to pay the difference, the delivery fee will not be refunded
4. Delivery Times
Estimated delivery times are not guaranteed and may vary.
Restaurant preparation times
Traffic
Weather
High demand
Road closures or incidents
We aim to deliver as quickly as possible, but delays can occur. Delays caused by restaurant preparation times are outside our control.
5. Payment Options
You may choose:
Delivery Only
You have already paid the takeaway directly.
Payment on Delivery
You pay the driver when they arrive using:
Cash
Card
The driver will not hand over the food until full payment is made.
If you refuse to pay, the delivery is marked as abandoned, and we will recover the full cost of the food from the cardholder who made the booking.
6. Customer Availability
You must be available at the delivery address during your chosen time slot.
A delivery is considered abandoned if:
You do not answer the door
You do not answer your phone
Your address is incorrect
Access is blocked or unsafe
You refuse to pay (Payment on Delivery bookings)
In these cases:
The delivery fee will not be refunded
If the food has been collected, we will recover the full cost of the food
The food will be disposed of safely by the driver
We will make reasonable attempts to contact you before marking a delivery as abandoned.
7. Access Instructions
You must provide accurate access instructions if required (e.g., flats, gated areas, rural properties).
If the driver cannot access your property due to missing or incorrect instructions, the delivery may be marked as abandoned.
8. Food Handling & Responsibility
All food is prepared by independent takeaway restaurants.
We are not responsible for:
Food quality
Food temperature
Incorrect or missing items
Allergens
Cross‑contamination
Restaurant delays
Food‑related issues must be raised directly with the takeaway.
9. Driver Safety
Drivers may refuse delivery if:
The location is unsafe
The customer is abusive
Access is blocked
Weather conditions make delivery unsafe
In such cases, the delivery may be cancelled or marked as abandoned.
10. Severe Weather & Unforeseen Events
Deliveries may be delayed or cancelled due to:
Severe weather
Flooding
Road closures
Accidents
Police incidents
Events outside our control
Refunds are not issued for delays caused by such events.
11. Company‑Initiated Cancellations
If we cancel your delivery due to an operational issue on our side:
You will receive a refund of the delivery fee only
Food refunds must be handled directly with the takeaway
